Number key

Numbers follow alphabetical order, from 1 (Andaman and Nicobar Islands) to 36 (West Bengal). Chandigarh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, Delhi, Goa, Lakshadweep, and Sikkim are too small for a number on A4 but keep their number in the table. Areas are measured on the map and approximate; “Borders” counts neighboring states.
